> "I am an old man, and to lose my home of 60 years and be forced to sleep on the dust was a wound that went deeper than any shrapnel. I was too weak to join the crowds fighting for flour. For days, my heart was heavy with shame because I could not provide for my family who depended on me.

>Then, a young volunteer with *Relief Aid International* found our makeshift shelter. They didn't just give us a food parcel; they gave it to me quietly, with respect, making sure I could carry it. Inside was a sack of lentils, a tin of olive oil, and a gas burner. It was simple, but it meant we could cook a warm, complete meal—a meal that didn't just fill our stomachs but restored our dignity. It was the knowledge that someone, somewhere, still cared about us as people, not just numbers

> "After the airstrike, everything was gone. I was wandering, injured, and felt completely broken. I had no identity, no purpose. I spent weeks just trying to survive, forgetting what it felt like to be a person with a future.

>*Relief Aid International* was distributing basic shelter materials—tarpaulins, wooden beams, mattresses. I received one of their family kits. For the first time since the war began, I was able to build a secure corner for my mother and sister. The act of using my hands to construct something, to provide basic security, was therapeutic. Later, they ran a small program—a cash-for-work initiative clearing rubble near the shelter areas. It was a lifeline. It gave me a small wage to buy supplies and, more importantly, it gave me a purpose again. It showed me that even in the rubble, we can start to rebuild

"When we first arrived at the camp, my children were sick, dehydrated, and we had nothing but the clothes on our backs. The sound of the drones was constant, and fear was our only companion. I remember a day when my youngest, two-year-old Sami, was burning with fever. I felt completely helpless.

>That evening, a team from *Relief Aid International* came to our section of the tents. They brought blankets, fresh water, and a medical kit. The medicine they gave Sami brought his fever down overnight. But it was the hygiene kits, the soap and small bottles of clean water, that changed everything. For the first time in weeks, I could properly wash my children and feel like I was protecting them, even just a little. Their dedication to reaching us, despite the danger, gave me a small piece of my motherhood back.
